You are purchasing a mid 1972 Sears and Roebuck tube amplifier model 5xl in excellent freshly serviced condition. Pots and Jacks cleaned lubed with Exit. When plugging in the amplifier I would position this as small narrow lug went it into an AC outlet, seems to facilitate least amount of grounding Buzz. All pots and Transformer date codes agree to this.

The volume and tone on the amplifier are set to full guitar is adjusted somewhere between 1/2 3/4 in various sound clips. These little amplifiers are pure tone, I would say the best tonality is achieved by running amplifier wide open and controlling volume from your guitar to give you just right amount of crunch touch sensitivity that these amps known for. FYI, I have taken a black Sharpie and marked one of the lugs on AC power cord with small. Speaker is stamped with date code 767223, so 23rd week 1972.

Also including a schematic reprint. Current Internet wisdom says that these amps were made by Harmony, but nobody really knows for sure. I just recently replaced all the filter caps, left original multi-lead cap in for visual appearance. Cabinet Rolex condition is excellent.
