I tuned up the volume and listened to both AM FM stations. The carrying case is in very good condition with openings to operate the controls. The controls work fine - combination on/off power and volume wheel, AM/FM selection switch, individual station thumb wheel retractable antenna. I put some into the battery compartment, plugged in earphones INCLUDED turned on power, and it worked.

This radio and case are in amazing condition considering its age. You are buying on a vintage 1967 Sony, 9 transistor, AM-FM portable radio model 3F-61W with case. It has been in our family since new and storage the early 1980my home so cosmetic condition is very good. The radio WORKS and is overall great condition.

It takes 3 AA size batteries NOT INCLUDED. Battery compartment clean, no corrosion.
