This radio works on both the a/c cord and with batteries. There is a local - distance switch. All the controls work properly, dials and switches move smoothly. It includes a clip-on antenna and hide away power cord.

The antenna extends and retracts easily is not bent. The outer case show signs of wear, this radio was listened. The batteries are not included. This Channel Master radio has three bands - AM, LO HI.
