It took me an hour to figure this out and I swore it was broken. TV and radio working but is static. Another characteristic is that the sound turns off when phone hook. No the alarm button pushed in prevents tv from turning on.

Alarm button must be unpressed for tv to work. There is an antenna but I m not catching anything in the airwaves at my house. Maybe it has to do with preventing the TV from coming on when your alarm goes off. I m not sure how you get a signal on these.
