Details:

All controls and functions verified. Absolutely necessary on a 50 year old vintage radio. Vintage Zenith Transoceanic D7000-1, recapped, aligned. Lubricate tuning shaft.

All D7000 radios have this problem where the internal metal tabs break off and float around inside cabinet. Comes with new replacement power cord, original log book and a reprint of the user manual. I usually find a few of these caps bad or with high ESR readings indicating already failed. Repair the broken internal dial window tabs.

Please see photos for details. Replace all 12 of the failure prone electrolytic caps with modern equivalent or better ratings. Refurbishing process consists of the following items: Completely disassemble and clean cabinet. Battery box is pristine.

Antenna in perfect condition. Side panels in excellent condition, no peeling or shrinkage. Adjust as required. All controls, slide switches, transistor sockets and band switch cleaned with Exit contact cleaner.

Dial and chart lights work. No scratchy volume control. Check dial calibration and operation on all bands. Verified operation on all bands for sensitivity.
