Circa 1944 in the USA. Mounting tape is added to absorb shock and dial glass covered with 3M Vivid Scotched 8 mil clear polyurethane protection film retard paint flaking, chipping scratches. Diffuse material lies behind dial glass to better distribute light from the single edge lamp. Likely made by Arvin for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.
We refinished the cabinet, replaced volume control / switch, repaired original tone lubricated dial pulleys and cleaned treated with Exit tuning condenser controls. Both can be easily reversed. Vintage Firestone Air Chief toaster vintage radio model S-7397-5.
