Details:

On the side it has plug in provisions for an external antenna, and two separate earphone connections. Its made in japan with serial number the clear plastic cover over tuning area has a deep 3 inch scratch at bottom but does not appear to be through. I did not see any cracks in the circuit board. Original case appears to be all here except the carry strap.

I didn't do this as don't have the ability to make stitching look original. Inside there is some battery acid on the terminals but does not seem to affect operation.

It could use a good inside cleaning. On the front, photos may not show that there is a small indentation in middle of speaker. It has a lot of things we no longer see like requirement for three pen lite batteries, not AA. It does not seem to flex.

Its not immediately obvious, but is certainly there. As in the photos, parts of case need to be stitched back together. I put some Duracell's in it last night and had tuned to an oldies station on the am band seconds. The back of case has Hitachi ltd insignia with Tokyo japan written below.

The two screws that fasten back to radio are missing. Hello from Vancouver island. For the 1960s this seems to be a reasonably sophisticated little radio.
