Details:

Elegant, sleek MCM teak veneer wood case tabletop radio made by Nordmende in Germany, this being the Skandia model S24 from 1967-1968. A few small points of white paint here and there, on the power cable. Condition Notes: Fully tested and working on all bands. Bands are accessed via the front panel piano switches.

Tube powered, it also features a unique 'split to center' fluorescent tube display on the left of front panel that indicates signal strength when tuning any non FM frequencies. There are some finish scratches, a few nicks/dings especially on edges. There are two separate knobs for tuning different bands - the rear clear knob is FM stations, front black other. All tubes working, dial illumination working.

Controls are scratch free - cleaned with electronic contact cleaner. Note that power is activated when any tuning band selected, and turned off via the piano switch labeled 'AUS' - this radio was sold in Germany so all labels/text front back are German. Band switches are all working, cleaned with electronic contact cleaner. Signal strength fluorescent tube working.

Unique casing with a full wood panel front of cabinet speaker grill openings cut from. This material will need to be removed before connecting power the radio. Other minor wear not noted may be present as per a used vintage item. Front tuning knob for Khz bands does have a bit of wobble, however it is not loose, slip.

This radio tunes AM and FM signals, as well long wave LW short Approximate measurements: 22 1/4 wide, 9 tall,6 3/8 deep. Cosmetic notes: Casing is free of splits, cracks, damage.
