Review ATWATER KENT Beautiful Model Breadboard Radio Early Goldtubes Works

A beautiful set, and a great addition to any advanced collection of early radios. Now as then, the Barometer is included with radio but not installed on board, so you can have your cake and eat it too. I've been selling and shipping them for more than 25 years. Atwater Kent: The Man, the Manufacturer and His Radios widely considered to be Kent radio bible.

Even without the Barometer installed, radio works surprisingly well. Condition is excellent. Though not a factory-wired set, the radio is notable, as it comes from collection of historian Ralph Williams, author. It takes only a few minutes to do this, but.

Glossy brown Bakelite parts everywhere, nice original green paint on the exterior of TA island, and c lean potting tar wires inside island. They're the same tubes you see and hear in video that I've posted above. If you wish to permanently install the Barometer in circuit, you'll need secure Barometers mounting stanchions board with screws, and wire two sides of inputs on TA after you've removed bridge that's currently place. Heres a seldom seen Atwater Kent model 1 3925 breadboard radio with very beautiful and scarce working pair of brass base, tipped, gold glass tubes manufactured by the Westinghouse Lamp Co.

The transformer is original, and both winding's are good.
