Heres a rare, beautiful, working 1923 Atwater Kent 3975 breadboard radio, better known as the model 4. Original green paint on the radios TA island is in excellent shape, with minimal wear, just some normal deterioration around mounting flange consistent age and authenticity. 3975 bevel-edged mahogany board, on which you assembled and wired the components in a manner similar to that of model 3, used Coupled Circuit tuner rather than Dario-Couplet. They're the tubes you see in video and photographs.

Condition of this example is excellent, and as you can see hear in the video I've posted above radio still works. Under the board, its clean everywhere, with straight wiring. It comes with a set of brass base, tipped rainbow tubes that have good emissions. Clean, undisturbed potting tar inside the island, and both original AF transformers are good.

The output is clear, but the tuning range narrow. Both tuners Dario-Couplet and Mounted Barometer are in excellent condition working properly. The 26 board was the same that used for model 3, 7 and early 9. Both end caps are still tightly secured to the main board, with no swelling.

The model 4 was offered primarily as a kit, not factory-assembled set. Board finish is original, with no crazing, just some light wear. Glossy brown Bakelite parts everywhere, with no cracks, chips, repairs, issues.
