Under the board, its clean and correct everywhere. Heres a beautiful, working 1923 Atwater Kent 4445-A breadboard radio, better known as the short board model 9. Original green paint on the radios TA island is excellent, with minimal wear. Both tuners Type 11 and Coupled Circuit are in good condition working properly.
Condition of this example is very good throughout, and it still works. Both end caps are still tightly secured to the main board, with no swelling. The short board 9 was made only briefly in the fall of 1923. The radio comes with a complete set of good emissions brass base, tipped tubes.
Glossy brown Bakelite parts everywhere, with no cracks, chips, repairs, issues. Theres a 1-amp 201 tube for use as the detector and 3 quarter-amp 201-A tubes amplifiers. Original staples, original paper tags, feet, etc. All four tubes have been tested in the radio they're you see video I've posted with photographs.
Board finish is original, with normal crazing consistent age and authenticity. Clean, undisturbed potting tar inside the island, and both original AF transformers are good.
